Eggs bad

I love eggs. Also, I think, correct me if I am wrong, that they are no longer “bad.”

But salmonella has now become an issue—some eggs, 380 million, are supposedly infected.

Salmonella, I know, is very bad! It can make you hate life and even kill vulnerable people.

Shari Roan, LA Times (Aug 20, 2010) says watch out for eggs from Wright Country Egg in Iowa—Lucern, Albertson’s, Mountain Dairy, Ralphs, Boomsma’s, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farm, and Kemps.

There is something about dates—Julian calendar. I ignored that. Someone ‘splain me.

What if you think you have these eggs—Julius Caesar notwithstanding? Toss or get a refund. Cooking does kill salmonella, but it’s too big a risk.

Be careful of blah cooking—like making Hollandaise.

Ummmm, egg salad…Thinking bad thoughts.

More bad eggs: Sunny Meadow, Wholesome Farms, West Creek. I think we pretty much want pasturized eggs for awhile.
